Why Christians give
Christians give because we recognise the wisdom and truth of Jesus’ words in Matthew 6:19-21.
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also”.
If our heart is in all that we are promised in Christ then we will want to support work which counts for eternity.
The ministry of Christ Church is entirely funded by the generous giving of Christians within our church family. People give in lots of different ways, with their time and love as well as with their money. However if you would like to give financially, either regularly or as a one-off gift, just follow the instructions below. Every gift is an encouragement to the ministry of our church family.

If you are eligible to Gift Aid your donation, we can claim an extra 25% back on your giving at no cost to you. To do this, please e-mail [email protected] to:-
- let us know that you have donated via your bank either as a one-off or a standing order;
- confirm that you would like Christ Church Leyton to claim Gift Aid on your donation;
- confirm that you are a UK taxpayer and you understand that if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year, it is your responsibility to pay any difference;
- provide your name and address which are required for HMRC purposes.
