WELCOME

We are delighted that we are still able to welcome people to services in the church building. As capacity in the building is currently smaller than normal due to social distancing measures, if you would like to join us for our 10.30am service or our 6.30pm service, please book tickets.

Bookings are now open for services on  16 May 2021.  The booking link can be found here. The sermon outlines for the AM and PM services are available here a few days before the service.

To help you attend a service in person, please read our guidance here. This explains how to book, what to expect when you arrive, and the safety guidelines we are asking everyone to follow to help keep each other safe.

We will also live stream all of our services on the Christ Church Leyton YouTube channel.

If you are new to Christ Church, or need help or support, please contact us here. We would love to hear from you.

Message from Mark, the Vicar

There is a verse in the Bible which speaks of people being ‘trapped by evil times that fall unexpectedly upon them’ (Ecclesiastes 9:12). That is surely how we feel in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic. These are very unsettling times.

However we should know that human beings and followers of Jesus Christ have faced such times before. In the old Church of England Prayer Book there is a prayer for times of plague and sickness. If we wish to find a secure foundation for our lives in unsettling times then the voice of the Bible can provide that for us, even if it will challenge our normal outlook on life.

That is why the Christ Church family is focussing on three core values at this time: (i) hearing the voice of God from the Bible (ii) praying to God for mercy for our community (iii) serving others in obedience to Jesus’ command to love our neighbour.

Do get in touch with us through the contact section on this website if you think we may be able to serve you.
