We are delighted that we can welcome people back to services in the church building. As capacity in the building is currently smaller than normal due to social distancing measures, if you would like to join us for our 10.30am service or our 6.30pm service, please book tickets. If tickets run out, please be patient – we hope everyone who wants to attend in person will be able to do so over the coming weeks.

Before you attend a service in person, please read the whole of our guidance here (and the FAQs document here). This explains how to book, what to expect when you arrive, what to bring, and the safety guidelines we are asking everyone to follow to help keep each other safe. The booking link is here. We are also continuing to live stream all services on the Christ Church Leyton YouTube channel. You can access the AM and PM sermon outlines here.

If you are new to Christ Church, or need help or support, please contact us here. We would love to hear from you.

Message from Mark, the Vicar

There is a verse in the Bible which speaks of people being ‘trapped by evil times that fall unexpectedly upon them’ (Ecclesiastes 9:12). That is surely how we feel in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic. These are very unsettling times.

However we should know that human beings and followers of Jesus Christ have faced such times before. In the old Church of England Prayer Book there is a prayer for times of plague and sickness. If we wish to find a secure foundation for our lives in unsettling times then the voice of the Bible can provide that for us, even if it will challenge our normal outlook on life.

That is why the Christ Church family is focussing on three core values at this time: (i) hearing the voice of God from the Bible (ii) praying to God for mercy for our community (iii) serving others in obedience to Jesus’ command to love our neighbour.

Do get in touch with us through the contact section on this website if you think we may be able to serve you.
